Microsoft just flipped the switch and gave Copilot notebooks to every commercial Microsoft 365 license. No more paying extra for the add-on that used to run thirty dollars per user each month.

The August 2026 change puts AI-powered notebooks into every plan. These tools handle brainstorming, drafting, and organizing information right inside the apps you already use. A new feature called Co Work also landed in Teams so you can build custom workflow automations without leaving the platform.

Under the hood you get access to different models, including GPT 5.6 and Claude. Microsoft has spent the last eighteen months pushing AI into every corner of 365, and now the whole subscriber base gets pulled along.
