MIP Operate

Custom workflows built and run by us. Measurement that holds up to a board meeting.

From $112 per user / month.

Best for: Firms 25–75 users running AI across departments.

What’s included

Operate is the working tier. Foundation governs. Operate builds and runs.

  • Everything in Foundation.
  • Custom agents and workflows built in your tenant — up to 3 per quarter included in the base. Scope: read access to designated systems, named human review steps, deployed inside Copilot / Teams / ACS Automate. Examples on the custom agents page.
  • Vendor evaluation and procurement support — we vet new AI tools your team is asking for, document the data handling, and either add them to the registry or write the rejection note your CFO can hand to the requester.
  • Department-level rollout support — pilot design, change-management materials, hands-on training sessions (remote, or on-site within the service region). Two department rollouts per year included.
  • Full-format Quarterly AI Business Review with ROI accounting. Hours saved by workflow, $/output for productized workflows, license utilization vs spend, adoption by department, risk reduction. 90-minute meeting, written deliverable. See the ABR detail page.
  • Monthly tactical session with your assigned MIP analyst. 60 minutes, scheduled. The conversation that doesn’t fit in the quarterly review.
  • ACS Automate hosting credit for client-specific integrations — a defined monthly compute budget for the agents we host for you outside your tenant.

What’s not included

  • Fractional AI leadership. Operate includes an assigned analyst, not a named fractional leader who sits with your executive team monthly. That’s Strategic.
  • Custom model deployment. Bringing your own model (Azure OpenAI in your tenant, on-prem Ollama for regulated data) is a Strategic-tier capability.
  • M&A AI due diligence, board-level reporting templates, direct vendor engagement on your behalf — all Strategic.

What the first 90 days look like (if you’re starting at Operate)

If you’re coming in at Operate without a Foundation period first — typically because you’ve already done some AI work and want operator support immediately — the first 90 days look like this.

Days 1–14. Same onboarding as Foundation, run faster. AUP, registry, shadow AI monitoring, help desk live by Day 14.

Days 15–45. First custom agent scoping and build. Department rollout planning for the highest-impact workflow. Quarterly ABR baseline data collection begins.

Days 46–75. First custom agent goes live. First department rollout (training, pilot, measurement). Vendor evaluation queue cleared.

Days 76–90. Full Quarterly AI Business Review meeting. The math, the math, the math. Next quarter’s roadmap with named workflows and effort estimates.

Step up to Strategic when…

  • Leadership wants AI in the operating plan, not just the IT plan. When the AI program shows up in board materials, the annual operating plan, or M&A diligence, you need fractional leadership presence, not just operational delivery.
  • Regulated data forces in-tenant or on-prem deployment. If HIPAA, ITAR, or CMMC scope means you can’t use commercial cloud LLMs for material workflows, Strategic includes the model deployment and management that solves it.
  • You’re 75+ users, with two or more departments where AI is operational. The volume of build, vendor management, and reporting exceeds what one analyst plus standing sessions can carry.
