Who This Guide Is For
This article is for small-business employees who need to install UPS WorldShip on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer. Following these steps will get WorldShip installed, authenticated, and ready to process shipments. WorldShip does not run on macOS, Linux, tablets, or mobile devices.
Before You Begin
Have the following ready before you start:
- A Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer
- A broadband internet connection (recommended due to the installer file size)
- Your UPS account number
- A recent UPS invoice for account authentication
Installation Steps
- Download the installer. Go to the UPS website and download the WorldShip installer. Save the file to a location you can easily find, such as your Downloads folder.
- Run the installer. Double-click the downloaded file to begin the installation process.
- Follow the setup prompts. Choose your preferred application language, installation location, and country or territory when prompted.
- Accept the license agreement. Read the UPS Technology Agreement and select I Accept the Terms… to continue.
- Choose your installation type. Select Single Workstation for a standard standalone installation. If you are setting up a remote workstation in a workgroup environment, select the appropriate workgroup option and browse to the network share location. Note: a Workgroup Administrator installation must be completed on a separate machine before any Workgroup Remote workstations can be installed.
- Complete the installation. Click Install and wait for the process to finish. You may be prompted to reboot your computer. Allow the reboot if requested.
- Authenticate your account. Once installation and any necessary reboots are complete, enter your UPS account number and information from a recent invoice to authenticate your account.
Troubleshooting
If the installation does not complete successfully, you can try running the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter to resolve common installation problems on Windows. If you continue to experience issues, contact your IT support team for assistance.

Common questions
Can I install UPS WorldShip on a Mac or tablet?
No. UPS WorldShip is designed for Windows-based systems only, specifically Windows 10 and Windows 11. It will not function on macOS, Linux, tablets, or mobile devices.
What do I need to authenticate WorldShip after installation?
After installation and any required reboots, you will need your UPS account number and a recent UPS invoice to complete account authentication.
What is the difference between a Single Workstation and a Workgroup installation?
A Single Workstation installation is for one standalone computer. A Workgroup setup allows multiple computers to share WorldShip over a network, but a Workgroup Administrator installation must be completed on one machine first before any Workgroup Remote workstations can be added.
