Teams Copilot Actions Aims to Handle Meeting Follow-Ups Without Adding More Email

Microsoft is rolling out a new Copilot feature in Teams called Actions. It automatically creates meeting recaps, drafts follow-up messages, and assigns tasks right after the call ends.

What Happened

The capability shows up for users on the $20 per user plan. It pulls from the meeting chat and turns the loose ends into actual tasks and recaps without anyone typing them up later.

Albert pointed out that the last thing anybody wants is another email. These chat bots are built for chat, and Microsoft already has Teams sitting right there, so it makes sense they would keep the follow-up work inside the same tool instead of pushing it back into Outlook.
